As we near the beginning of the school year, we are so excited to be welcoming your child to Potranco Elementary.

Please know that it is important for you to complete your child's online registration in Skyward, these documents/forms are now ready for you to complete. This information is critical for staff to have in regards to your child.

Meet the teacher will be held Friday, August 12. You will receive a letter with your child's teacher, grade level and classroom number next week. If you do not receive your letter by August 11, you are welcome to contact the campus.

8:00 am-9:00 am Kinder, 2nd and 4th grade

9:00 am-10:00 am Pre-K/ECSE, BIP and 3rd grade

10:00 am-11:00 am 1st grade, ALE and 5th grade

12:00 pm-End of Meet the Teacher

In the event that you should be planning to withdraw your child, please send the principal an email at sandy.bermea@mvisd.org with your child's first and last name and indicate whether if you are moving out of the district or plan to homeschool.

All students who will need transportation and meet the eligibility requirements
for the 2022-2023 school year will be required to register for transportation.

If you live within two miles of your assigned campus or live outside of the district boundaries, bus transportation is not available. We will provide transportation to and from the address registered with the district. Please report any address changes to the PEIMS office in order to update the route information in transportation. Please complete the bus application below as no students will be allowed to ride the bus without completing the application. Transportation staff will be available during orientation only for those that have completed the application.

We recommend a responsible party or family member be at the stop to receive students grades pre-k through second. A judgement call may be made to return your student(s) to the campus if it is deemed hazardous and someone is not there to accept them. Please have your student(s) at their stop five (5) minutes prior to stop time in order to board the bus. Parents should read your child’s student handbook regarding transportation.
