February 2025
CVMS Family:
Welcome to February! Spring is right around the corner!! It’s hard to believe we are already in the second half of the school year—time is flying!
We have begun reviewing the mid-year STAR and benchmark assessments, and it’s exciting to see the growth our students are making as the year progresses. This month teachers will be working with this data to better identify students who need additional assistance as they develop learning plans to help them succeed. Our flex period and WIN (What I Need) classes are providing ongoing support for students needing additional instruction in reading and math, as well as enrichment opportunities.
Each month, CVMS focuses on one of the values of our school district. This month’s value is "collaboration", which we define as the ability to form partnerships and work together for the betterment of our students. We appreciate the support of our parents during CCR week for parent conferences. In addition, teachers will be discussing this value and encouraging students to work together as they accomplish their academic goals.
Construction Update: New Classrooms are Finished!😃
We are excited to announce a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 21st! There will be an assembly during the day for students, and parents are welcome to tour our new classrooms from 4:00 - 7:00PM. This project has been a long journey, and we can’t wait to celebrate its completion with you.
Thank you for your continued support! ~ Dr. Jeralyn Shaw
