TexQuest training opportunities are coming to Service Centers soon! To learn more about these state-supported digital resources for K-12 students in Texas public and charter schools, sign up for these free workshops. Follow the registration links below to ESC websites for complete descriptions of these sessions.
These training opportunities are available to all public and charter school districts in Texas interested in learning about TexQuest digital resources.
Note: To attend a training session at a different ESC, you must create an account and register in the hosting ESC's registration system.
Continuing Education (CE) credit will be provided by ESC's for all TexQuest sessions.

Utilizing TexQuest to Bridge CCMR and the Classroom

Did you know that the Texquest databases from the state library have been made available beyond public school graduation? This training highlights the utility of Texquest for our future college students and career adults. Participants will be shown how to access not only cross-curricular articles but also MLA tools, GED and SAT/ACT test preparation activities, resume builders, and STAAR practice exams for all grade levels. Creating Classroom Library Lists (Virtual)

Learn how you can easily create lists of classroom collections using TeachingBooks tools developed as part of the Texas Collection Analysis Initiative which assists in addressing the School Library Program Collection Development Standards (13 Texas Admin. Code ยง4.2). You will learn multiple ways to create or upload your list and generate a shareable listing of all titles and authors. Then, you can go further and explore all the TeachingBooks shareable resources that support books in your collections that you can use to inspire and engage your students! Dive even deeper with our analysis tools and Book Resumes to reflect on what is already on your list and use our search tools to discover additional possibilities.
