Student Council Food and Toy Drive
Student Council is hosting a food and toy drive, which ends this Friday, December 8. They are asking for new and unwrapped toys, along with non-perishable food items, which will be donated to Leyden Family Services to help the less fortunate in our community. At West Leyden, donation boxes can be found in the Main Office and the Student Activities Office. At East Leyden, donation boxes can be found in the Student Activities office. Donors have the opportunity to enter a raffle for some amazing prizes, by either donating physical items or donating spare change through the "Penny Wars." The class who raises the most money will win 500 points for Junior Olympics 2024! All proceeds will benefit Leyden Township and Leyden Family Services.
West Leyden Rho Kappa Coat Drive
West Leyden Rho Kappa members are hosting a coat drive and are asking for new and gently used coats, which will be donated to One Warm Coat, aiding recently arrived migrants who are not used to dressing for Chicago winters. They are accepting coats for all ages and all donated items must be stain and damage free. Coat donation boxes will be located at West Leyden in room 210 or in the Student Service office.
East Leyden Rho Kappa “Holiday Stockings for the Troops”
East Leyden Rho Kappa members are sponsoring “Holiday Stockings for the Troops," and are collecting items and stuffing them into holiday stockings to be sent to our service men and women. All donations can be dropped off at East Leyden Entrance 4, Entrance 18, or in room 152.
