A National Letter of Intent is a binding commitment by an athlete to play collegiate athletics for a particular college or university in exchange for a scholarship. (This means your son or daughter is signing a commitment to a Division I or Division II school to play a sport and receiving athletic financial aid for playing the sport. This would also mean the college or university has been in contact with you and your son or daughter about the signing the paperwork. )

April 17, 2024 is the third of three signing time periods for prospective senior student-athletes, who have played at Eagan, to sign their National Letters of Intent.

We will celebrate our D-1 and D-11 athletes and we will also honor those who will play at NAIA, D-111 or JUCO schools

If you have a senior (12th Grade) son or daughter who will be signing to play college athletics during this time period please contact Eagan’s Athletic Director, Sandra Setter Larsen.

BSU’s first ever Donation Drive for the Homeless is happening right now and we would love your help in making it a success! See the image above for donations that are accepted. Our plan is to have kids leave donations in their PAWS classrooms. Classrooms that have donations will be competing against each other to win a surprise treat for the whole class. The winner will be determined by the most donations collected.

Due to a change by Google, your child's student email account is moving from Apple Mail to Google Mail.

• On April 15th, the Google Mail (Gmail) app will be pushed to their iPad if they don’t already have it installed.
• If the Gmail app doesn’t automatically install, they can download it from Self Service.
• Sign into Gmail with their @apps account as they would any other Google app.
• On May 6th, the Apple Mail app will be removed from their iPad.

If they need help... have them stop by the iPad office in the Library! Or send a schoology message to Ben Anderson.

If your student has enlisted in the military (Active, Reserve, National Guard) and will attend Basic Training this summer or have accepted an ROTC, NROTC, AFROTC, CSPI, Service Academy or other military appointment please have them email me at paul.kovach@district196.org to be included in the 8th annual Military Recognition Ceremony sponsored by the Eagan American Legion Daniel R. Tuesday, April 23rd is the day when all juniors (11th grade) will take the official ACT, paid for by the school district. All sophomores (10th grade) will take the PreACT on the same day. The PreACT is used to help predict the ACT and to help students understand areas they need to work to improve.

April 23 - grades 9 and 12 will have a digital learning day - working with assignments on Schoology and not reporting to school.

Eagan HS teachers and counselors will be available from 6:30 - 8:30 PM on Wednesday, April 24th. Please bring your students' schedule with you so that you have teacher names (you can print the schedule for CAMPUS). Teachers will be in their PAWS room- classroom - for the two hour conference time. No appointments needed- these are drop in conferences.

Teacher Professional Development Day - Friday April 26

No school for students District wide on Friday, April 26.

Teachers, counselors and principals will be engaged in Professional Development, planning and preparation with colleagues for that entire day.

Eagan Summer Community Theatre is so excited to be bringing to life Anastasia the Musical on our stage this summer!!! There are many roles available for people of all ages. There are some roles for children and many roles for teenagers through 90 years old!

The 196 MTB team is a cycling team that develops riders and competes against other teams in Minnesota under the rules of the Minnesota Cycling Association (MCA). We balance the competition of a team with other aspects of a club to keep the sport fun and enjoyable for riders of all ability levels. The 196 MTB team is a fun and inclusive “Family Orientated” community that builds life skills through the sport of cycling.

The season runs mid-July through mid-October.
