Get your heart pumping with 1 hour or more of physical activity today
• Try this physical activity together as a class right now: high knee march—march in place, lifting your knees in front of you as high as you can. Count to 20. • Physical activity doesn't have to be a sport. It can be other activities you do for fun that get your body moving, like dancing, bike riding, swimming and running. • Physical activity makes you feel happier. • You can break up your hour of physical activity into smaller, 10-to-15-minute sessions throughout the day (about the time of one recess). • Physical activity helps build and maintain healthy bones, muscles and joints. After you share one of these points, say, "Get your 1 hour of physical activity today, you'll feel great!"

Featured Club
Destination Imagination
Destination Imagination Destination Imagination “(DI) is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization. Our purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Annually, we offer seven new standards-based Challenges in STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning, and Early Learning. Each Challenge is open-ended and enables student teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation. Academic tournaments take place around the world where teams have the opportunity to present their solutions to trained appraisers. Students have fun and gain confidence in their ability to solve any challenge. In working to solve our Challenges, teams learn 21st century skills (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, citizenship and courage) to build on their unique strengths.”
Destination Imagination is a great opportunity for our students at Truscott to continue fostering personal and academic growth.

We are 10 days from the final registration date and about 3 weeks from the camp! We're so excited to be offering this opportunity, sponsored by the LHS Band Boosters to give TSD elementary students a chance to learn about the awesome activity that is colorguard/winterguard. If you want to learn more about the activity in general check this out, What is Colorguard/Winterguard? This is something that students can participate in high school and middle school if they enjoy it!
We have 26 spots still available in the camp in these final days of registration. Here is the link, Elementary Spin Camp Registration Link. The camp is open to all K-5 students and we can accept up to 50 total students!
The cost of the camp is $35 and includes, t-shirt, pizza dinner, and instruction. We tried to make it very affordable, but we can also offer financial assistance to any families that need it.
Let me know if you have any questions!
