Mr. Haller - Woolloomooloo Team Lead – Math/ELA
Hello Woolloomooloo Families!
I hope you all enjoyed our lovely snow days this past week. It reminds me of the excitement of watching the white flakes fall from the sky as a kid and hope that school may be delay for us to enjoy the new landscape. I hope you all were able to enjoy the snow, making snowmen/people, sledding or just throwing a few snowballs at each other. Either way, fingers crossed for more to come this winter!
Term 2 is coming to a close soon. Please make sure that you are checking ASPEN, ensuring that assignments have been completed/turned in and having those conversations with your scholars about expectations from Term 3 and 4 and beyond! High School is right around the corner for our 8th graders!
Be sure to be on the lookout for announcements regarding Community Project! This is a requirement for all 8th grade students that attend an IB school and a great opportunity to give back to our Community. Whether it be the Deal Community, your local neighborhood, church, mosque or synagogue, or even Washington DC as a whole, start thinking about the needs of the community and providing solutions to help or give back. We've just completed Journal Entry #5, so be sure to ask your scholars what are they are doing.

Library overdue emails were sent out in December and I have heard from several families about books overdue that are owed to different schools. Please disregard titles owed to other sites. At the end of the year, I will send another notice email. Notices will only include Deal items moving forward. Sorry about any confusion!
