Marine City High School has won a 2024 College Success Award
We are proud to announce that Marine City High School has received GreatSchools.org’s 2024 College Success Award!
Marine City High School is one of 1,436 schools in 19 states to be honored with a College Success Award, which recognizes and celebrates high schools like ours that demonstrate excellence in ensuring students are prepared to succeed in college.
The College Success Award is based on data that show how our school prepares students to succeed after high school, including whether they enroll in college, are ready for college-level coursework, and persist into their second year.
We applaud the hard work of the entire Marine City High School community — including students, parents, teachers, and others that aspire to help our students succeed in college and beyond.

MCHS Freshmen Enjoy TRAILS Program
For one week in November, ninth-grade students gathered to learn how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors impact one another. Each day, they learned to practice activities that help them relax when feeling overwhelmed or increase their energy when feeling low.
“I know when I’m experiencing stress and I know which relaxation activity is most helpful.”
Although the ninth grade enjoyed the experience, many students got involved in the preparation. Tenth grade students (who participated in the groups last year) created artwork to display in the classrooms. High school and middle school students teamed up to practice calming techniques like origami!
Overall, 98 ninth-grade students participated in the learning experience. November was a great month to learn and practice social-emotional skills that will carry us through the winter months ahead!
