SHS offers a Unified Sports Program!
Springville High School is excited to begin Unified Sports for the 2024-2025 School year in partnership with Special Olympics Utah. We would love for you to participate! Unified Sports is a program for students with disabilities to learn an compete in sports in partnership with youth leaders to promote inclusivity and healthy lifestyles. This is a great opportunity for peer tutor and student partner participation. Meets, events, and practices will be during school. Transportation will be provided for student athletes and youth leaders. You can participate as 1. A youth leader to help train and peer tutor student athletes during school and on the field during tournaments (1-2 hours a week) 2. As a Special Olympics student athlete

Seniors! My name is Joseph Lingwall and I can help you with college applications, FAFSA and financial aid, scholarships, and ACT registration. Drop by my office at the back of the library or use the QR code to sign up for an appointment.
ACT Registration Workshop
Join us for an ACT Registration workshop on Wednesday, September 11th in the Library Computer Lab. There will be two sessions: 4:30 and 5:30pm. Choose the time that works best for you. Taking the ACT or retaking the ACT can help you get into the college you want and get access to more scholarships! Bring a method for online payment and a recent digital photo or yourself to upload. Parents are welcome! Fee waivers provided if you are eligible.

Help for Parents with children who have special needs
Hi, my name is Heidi Whittaker. I am a Parent Consultant with the Utah Parent Center. The Utah Parent Center has partnered with Nebo School District to provide free assistance to families of children with special educational needs. I, too, have a child receiving special education services in Nebo School District. If your child has special needs, so do you! As a Parent Consultant, I can provide: β information β referral β assistance Services are offered to parents and professionals through the provision of one-on-one consultations. I can help you by: β Providing a private consultation in-person, by e-mail or over the phone regarding questions or concerns about the special education process. β Providing information on the IEP process and your rights and responsibilities under IDEA. β Helping you prepare for IEP meetings and providing support during IEP meetings. β Connecting you to resources and supports in your community. β Providing information about upcoming events in the district and statewide.
