🎉 Happy Staff Appreciation Week 2024! 🎉
As Staff Appreciation Week approaches, we wanted to take a moment to remind you of the wonderful opportunity we have to express our gratitude to the incredible staff who make Hamilton Township School District such a special place for our children.
Our teachers, administrators, and support staff work tirelessly each day to ensure the well-being, growth, and success of our students. Their dedication, kindness, and expertise make a profound difference in the lives of our children and in our community as a whole.
We kindly encourage you to take a moment during Staff Appreciation Week to show your appreciation for our amazing staff. Whether it's a simple thank-you note, a small token of appreciation, or a kind word of gratitude, every gesture means the world to those who work so hard to support our children.
Your support and recognition help foster a culture of appreciation and positivity within our school/organization, and it means more than you know to our hardworking staff members.
Let's come together as a community to celebrate and honor the incredible individuals who dedicate themselves to the well-being and education of our children. Thank you for joining us in showing appreciation for our outstanding staff!

Preparing our Students for State Testing
As we approach the upcoming state testing period, we want to ensure that your child feels adequately prepared and supported during this crucial time. State assessments provide valuable insights into your child's academic progress and help us tailor our teaching strategies to better meet their needs.
To ensure your child is ready to perform their best, we kindly ask for your support in the following areas:
Encourage a Healthy Routine: A good night's sleep and a nutritious breakfast can significantly impact your child's focus and energy levels during testing. Please make sure they get plenty of rest and provide them with a nutritious breakfast on testing days.
Review Test-Taking Strategies: Take some time to discuss test-taking strategies with your child, such as reading questions carefully, managing time effectively, and checking their work. Remind them that it's okay to ask for clarification if they don't understand a question.
Provide a Supportive Environment: Create a quiet and comfortable space at home where your child can study and complete homework without distractions. Encourage them to ask questions and seek help if they encounter any challenges.
Emphasize the Importance of Doing Their Best: While test scores are important, reassure your child that their worth is not solely determined by their performance on a test. Encourage them to approach the assessment with a positive attitude and do their best.
Stay Connected: Please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or school administration if you have any questions or concerns about the testing process or your child's preparation.
By working together, we can ensure that your child feels confident and supported as they approach the state assessments. Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education.

Special Education Week
"Each year New Jersey honors students, their educators, parents, schools, and the school board members that contribute to the high quality special education services in our state.
Created by resolution of the New Jersey Legislature, the second week in May is designated Special Education Week in New Jersey. This year Special Education Week in New Jersey falls on May 12-18, and the theme for Special Education Week 2024 is “Diverse Learners, Big Dreams.” ASAH is pleased to partner with The New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) to celebrate the dedication and hard work of all who contribute our state’s success in the field." asah.org
The HTSD has over 600 students who receive special education services. As I have shared with you before, we ALL work with students with special needs. So many thanks to all of you for your dedication and hard work! During this week, it is our goal to celebrate the diversity of all learners. Here are some Proposed Activities for Special Education Week courtesy of Krystyn McAllister to help students understand and celebrate diversity.
