REMINDER on student attendance

Please be sure to call/email the school to let them know if your child will be away. Students are automatically marked as absent if we do not receive a call. Our system differentiates between absences. If your student is ill or under the weather, please let us know so we can mark them as such, INSTEAD of absent. Likewise, if they will be attending an appointment or will otherwise be missing school, we can mark them as "parent call". Absence reports matter and differentiating between the TYPE of absence makes a difference.


For safety reasons, if your child is leaving the school for ANY reason, a phone call/email to the office is REQUIRED.

Gym Rentals

Please be advised that all gym rentals must be made and paid for AT LEAST two weeks prior to your event. Insurance can be purchased through the Battle River School Division, or you can provide proof of your own insurance coverage. This form must be presented at the time of application and must have Battle River School Division and Bashaw School on it.


The cost for the gym rental will be worked out at the time of the application.


The only room available to rent is the gymnasium. The culinary room is NOT available.

Christmas Concert - December 17 at 6:30pm

We are so excited for our upcoming Christmas concert. As always, these events are that much more magical with a packed house. We look forward to welcoming parents/families.

Hot Chocolate December 9 - 19

Exciting News! We will be serving Hot Chocolate with marshmallows and candy cane sprinkles at lunchtime from Dec 9 to Dec 19.


Small cups- $.50



Large cups- $1.00

Friday December 6 is a PD day.

There will be NO SCHOOL this Friday December 6th. Enjoy the long weekend.

Bashaw School Awards Ceremony program

Mitten Tree

DID YOU KNOW, that our fluffy Mitten Tree is now up. We would love to fill it with warm winter clothing (new, gently used) like socks, mitts, toques, headbands, scarves, and more. Thank you so much for your contributions!

Princess Project - Camrose

Heading into its 8th season, The Princess Project is a not-for-profit Camrose run program that provides free graduation wear for those who may not be able to afford it. From dresses, and suits, to shoes, clutches, jewellry, and hair accessories, Laura Swanson, Princess Project founder and sole operator says "the program is growing and going strong".
