At all times throughout the school year, but especially as we move into the spring months, we want to ensure all of our students that ride the bus have a safe and enjoyable experience. If your child rides a bus, please click HERE to watch a bus safety video we have put together. This covers bus safety from getting picked up at the bus stop, the ride to / from school, and getting dropped back off in the afternoon. By following the guidelines outlined in the video, we can make sure all of our students get to and from school safely.

MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - MRS. MEGHAN MEDLOCK, SCHOOL COUNSELOR AT KINSNER ELEMENTARY
Mrs. Meghan Medlock is in her third year working at Strongsville City Schools. Mrs. Medlock is a school counselor at Kinsner Elementary. She is a proud graduate of Strongsville High School and still lives in our community. Mrs. Medlock earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and her graduate degree from Malone University.
“Working with our students is so joyous and fulfilling! I love being a counselor because each day is different. I'm never exactly sure what the day will look like and it makes things fun! Another component of school counseling that I enjoy is having the opportunity to be with kids when they are going through something difficult. Being an adult that kids can trust and rely on when they are struggling is such a privilege.”
“The kids, teachers, administrators, and staff make Kinsner a total blast everyday! No matter what the day holds, I know that the staff and kids will make me laugh and put a smile on my face! We have such an awesome team that works so well together. It makes coming to work so much fun!”
Thank you Mrs. Medlock for being part of a great team at Kinsner Elementary helping students grow and develop! #ModelMustang

Based on a comprehensive audit performed by the District for K-5 ELA, as well as professional review and research / recommendations, the District is looking to adopt Amplify CKLA for Grs. K-5, which explicitly builds background knowledge utilizing a strong Science of Reading approach.
Any Strongsville parent/community member is welcome to preview the materials. Please visit the landing page of https://www.strongnet.org/ and scroll down to ‘District News’ for more information.
