Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!!

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and brought in the new year with family and friends! There are still some days of vacation for most of us. Please be sure to enjoy those days safely!

We are beginning the new semester on January 6th; all classes resume regularly after that. You can begin making your annual registration fee and semester tuition payments.

Thank you to everyone who attended. A good time was had by all!

We have been asking who is interested in going to compete in Austin the weekend of February 14th. We have not had much response. Our deadline is Saturday, January 11th, and then we will see if we have enough people to go to competition. You MUST turn in the first $25 to show you are interested in going to competition.

This year we plan to attend the Bailes De Mi Tierra competition in Austin, Texas. The competition will be held Valentine's Day weekend. It will be held at St. Edwards University.

Here is their tentative schedule:

• Friday, February 14 – 3:00PM to 11:00PM
• Saturday, February 15 – 7:00 AM to 11:00PM
• Sunday, February 16 – 7:00AM –3:PM
• Award’s Ceremony – 5:00PM

I would, of course, ask that we not be scheduled on Friday.

Participation Fee is $25, plus whatever the split would be for the entries (maybe an additional $10-$15).

If you are interested in going I will need your Participation fee ASAP. Once we know who is going we can decide on the dances we will perform. We NEED to see who is going before we can decide what we will dance.

Want to protect your shoes/boots? Keep them from scrapping themselves after being thrown into your duffle bag and order yourself, or someone else, a bag they can keep their shoes in.

Each $15 bag has a drawstring with a separate compartment for each shoe or boot. Bags will be made from polyester fabric or possibly other fabric choices (see Pedro for details). Name embroidery available for an additional $5.
