Crusader Chronicle
September 2024
Dear Crusader Families,
Today, the students will be bringing home their First Trimester Interim envelope. Within the envelope is some important information to review. The envelope will contain the following information:
- First Trimester Interim
- STAR Reading and Math reports
- MAP Family Report
- 8th grade only- High School Request of Records Form
After you had time to review the Interim and reports with your child, please sign and return the Interim to school. The reports can stay home as they are the family's copy. The Interim can be sent back to school in the Interim envelope.
We will be holding Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4. The deadline to sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences is Sunday, September 29. Please ensure that you take time to meet with your child's teacher. Student success is built upon a positive relationship between the student, parents, and school. If there are any questions related to Parent-Teacher Conferences, please contact the school office.
As always, thank you for all you do to support the school.
Gratefully,
Sarah Bitzer

Kindergarten-8th grade Buddies
Today, the Kindergarten students met their 8th grade buddies. The students enjoyed getting to know their 8th grade buddy and shared applesauce with them to finish up their apple unit. The Kindergarten students gave their 8th grade buddies the 8th grade class shirt as a gift as well. It was a fun day for our Kindergarten and 8th grade students!

Volunteer Opportunities
Planning is well underway for this year's Deck the Halls event. The actual event is on Saturday, November 9 at the school. As in past years we will begin setting up on Thursday, November 7 from 4 to 8pm. We are looking for students that may be interested in helping set up/transfer boxes. Help is needed on the day of the event as well if Thursday does not fit in your schedule. This is a good way to earn service hours!
Below is a link for signing up.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
The Deck the Halls Committee and Casie Nocito, 6th Grade Room Parent and Deck the Halls Committee Member
