School, district, and community resources are the three categories into which these resources are separated. Building a substantial amount of resources for every family is our aim. 4th Grade
This week, 4th graders started their Reader’s Journals and began with a Book “Tasting” where they tried books from different genres. They are working on writing strong sentences and identifying the parts of speech.
In math, we have been working on using arrays to do both multiplication and division, and the students are learning about inverse operations. Practicing their math facts at home will be a big help as they continue working on multi-step word problems.
5th Grade
Hello 5th grade families!
This week students had their first publishing party where they shared their most recent writing project; their original artwork and their paragraph artist statement about their work. If you haven’t seen what your student created or heard what they wrote, check in with them!
In math we are wrapping up our learning about multiple number division - continue to encourage your student to practice their multiplication and division to make their math facts solid and future math easier.
We are reading the book Coraline by Neil Gaimen and will be watching the movie next week on Wednesday. We will be skipping the scene where the neighbors dance because there is a mildly questionable fashion choice. If you would like to preview the movie/have your student not watch the movie please reach out to me!
