Everyday this month our SEL Committee will be bringing your students words of wisdom related to forgiveness.
PTSO will have a Root Beer Float Fundraiser on December 18th. Floats will be sold during all 3 lunches for $3 a float.

Advanced Skills Golf Showcase
Earlier this month, the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Advanced Skills classes worked diligently on creating golf holes for a golf showcase where teachers were able to come try their hand at putting a course the students created. On December 4th, these students went on a golf exploration field trip where they were able to go mini-golfing and study the designs of the course. Students and staff alike had a blast with this project!
Attendance Matters!
The end of Quarter 2 will be January 24th. With so many fun breaks this quarter it is even more important to have your student in class on the days we have school. We have a goal of 100% attendance. Let's rally together to support one another in this endeavor!

• At 11th tardy – Four lunches held in the Student Success Center to review expectations and a parent meeting scheduled.
• At 14th tardy --Alternative passing schedule put in place to help facilitate arriving to class on time. This will be in place for the remainder of the quarter.
For more information on our attendance policies click the link below for our Student Handbook.
Cell Phone and Electronic Use
Students are allowed to bring personal cell phones and other electronic devices to school but they may only be used before and after school (not during lunch, in the halls during passing period, or in the bathrooms). This plan puts safety and learning as priorities. All devices should be Off & Away (not vibrate or silent) and away (in backpack) during school and passing times. If a student has an emergency or needs to communicate with home/family, please contact the front office. SMS is not responsible for lost, stolen, or missing electronic item
