Jets are Resourceful, Respectful, Responsible and Reliable
What's Happening...
Monday, August 12th- Club Expo will be held during Refuel. This is an opportunity for students to learn more about clubs and organizations. You can also check out a list of clubs on the JC webpage.
Tuesday, August 13th- FALL PICTURES (pictures will be taken during 1st block)
The Redstone Federal Credit Union Branch inside the school is NOW OPEN daily during Refuel.
We completed all of our safety drills this week (Fire, Weather, Secure Perimeter and Lockdown). Our students and faculty did a wonderful job of following instructions and reporting to the designated areas.
Important Reminders
Dress Code Policy
Please be aware of the dress code policy. Strict procedures will be followed if a student is outside of the dress code, as outlined in the student code of conduct.
A few reminders:
(from the Madison City Schools Student Code of Conduct)
- Shoes or sandals must be worn and properly laced or fastened.
- Clothing that is revealing due to excessive tightness, tearing or sheer (see through) exposing the midriff is prohibited.
- Shorts, skirts and dresses, etc. should be a minimum of fingertip length (while standing with your arms by your sides).
- Shirts with a strap of less than 1.5” or that reveal midriff, cleavage or lower back are not permitted. Leggings, jeggings, yoga pants, etc. can be worn with a shirt that reaches the top of the thigh, covering the bottom and private body areas
As the Student Code of Conduct states, "any student violating the dress code may be suspended for the remainder of the school day". Students will be placed in in-school suspension if they are found out of dress code and cannot find a way to be back in the parameters of appropriate dress. Please be sure to remain in dress code at all times.
Traffic Flow (Drop Off and Pick Up)
One of our top priorities is the safety of our students, parents, and faculty when entering and exiting campus. We have designated areas for carline, buses, student drivers and walkers. Students should not be dropped off or picked in the front circle or in the back of the school due to safety reasons.
Please refer to the traffic flow chart below to familiarize yourself and students with the appropriate areas.
