RECOGNIZING, REPORTING & REFUSING BULLYING
It's been an incredible past month that was kicked off with a school wide assembly, presented by the Taproot Theatre Company on January 8th. Our students were able to learn preventative strategies with a focus on Recognizing, Reporting and Refusing Bullying! Be sure to ask your child about this learning experience!
CELBRATING MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
We celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 18th with a powerful learning opportunity that left us with a deeper appreciation of his message and impact that he has shared with all of us over the years! At this assembly, our students were able to also share their musical talents. It was a spectacular sight to see and hear as we listened to the voices of our students perform their hearts out! A special thank you to Endeavour's 3rd & 4th graders!
CONSCIOUS DISICPLINE - STAFF BOOK STUDY
Your teachers and support staff have been involved in a book study titled, "Conscious Discipline." If you are interested in learning more about this and the work we are diving into as a building, check out this link!
MATH & READING STAR ASSESSMENTS
Each student at Endeavour participates in an important assessment in the Fall, Winter & Spring of every school year. This assessment guides our building in finding better supports and instructional strategies for your child in the math and reading areas. We currently are assessing their growth and examining ways to better support students! You may see this data in the upcoming progress report and at parent/teacher conferences in March.

PROGRESS REPORTS ARE COMING!
We are excited to share with our families the upcoming progress report that will be sent home with your child this Friday, February 1st, 2019.
What you will find is a detailed progress of where your child is academically and how they are performing as a successful learner at Endeavour Intermediate! This progress report is new this year for both Hedden and Endeavour families. We believe that communication is important and therefore we have created a tool that truly communicates the progress of your child, so far in this school year.
As you read the progress report, please don't hesitate to ask your child's teacher for any clarification and/or questions. At this point and time, you will not see numbers 4, 3, 2, or 1, but instead a detailed communication of your child's progress. Rest assured that in June, a detailed standards based grading (4, 3, 2, or 1) will be reported at the end of this school year.
