LINDENWOLD MIDDLE SCHOOL
COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER
MAY 2024
FROM THE DESK OF DR. LUGO
Dear Lindenwold Middle School Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, filled with cherished moments spent with loved ones as we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to commend our students for their hard work and dedication throughout this academic year. They've overcome challenges, grown academically and personally, and should be incredibly proud of their achievements. Here's to a well-deserved summer break ahead!
While many students are eagerly looking forward to summer, it's important to address some important matters. Some students may have faced academic or attendance challenges this year, which may necessitate summer school attendance or grade retention. Families of affected students should have received multiple communications regarding their child's status. Final decisions will be made after the submission and verification of final grades at the end of Marking Period 4. If you have any concerns or questions about your child's academic status, please don't hesitate to reach out to your student's school counselor for guidance and support.
For our eighth-grade students, who have met all academic and attendance requirements, we are excited to celebrate their achievements at our LMS Promotion Ceremony on June 13, 2024. Promotion invitations will be distributed on June 10th, following the submission and verification of grades. Each participating student will receive two tickets for guests. Please note that attendance to school on Promotion Day is mandatory for all participating students. It will be an early dismissal day, with students being released at 12:25 pm. Following the ceremony, students will have the opportunity to enjoy a celebratory dance.
As we wrap up the school year, we have a calendar filled with exciting field days and field trips. While these are enjoyable activities, it's essential to remind our students that we are still in a school setting, and appropriate behavior is expected until the last day of school. The school's Code of Conduct will remain in effect throughout these final weeks.
As we approach the end of another successful school year, I want to express my gratitude to our entire school community for your continued support and cooperation. Wishing you all a wonderful summer ahead!
