Happy New Year!
Character Word of the Month- Integrity
I am honest and sincere with others and myself in words and actions. I choose to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
Story Path
Mrs. Busekrus earned a WINGs grant for a story path and it has been installed around the perimeter of our top parking lot and garden area. We are excited for the first story to be printed! Each month, we will display either books or student writing projects.
Cornhole Tournament Save the Date
Save the date for Saturday, 2/8! PTG is hosting a Cornhole Tournament to help raise additional funds for a new projector and screen! This will be our biggest fundraiser of the year. Classes will once again have a themed basket in the auction.
FastBridge Reports
Family Reports will be sent home on January 6th. Please sit down with your Blue Jay and review their progress. We will take our last round of FastBridge assessments late April/May. So much growth to still happen! 2nd quarter report cards will be sent home on January 8th.
Report Cards
2nd quarter report cards will be sent home on January 8th. Please review their grows and glows with them and return ONLY the SIGNED envelope by 1/7. Our goal-100% envelope return.
Kindergarten and 1st Grade After School Winter Fun Event
Wednesday, January 15th our K and 1 Blue Jays are invited to stay after school to participate in some fun winter themed activities with 4th grade leaders. The flyer has been sent home and will be due back by January 8th. If we have school cancellation due to inclement weather, this deadline will be pushed back. We can not take verbal permission given to a student that they can stay. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Busekrus at robyn.busekrus@sdowmo.org.
New Nurse
Please help me welcome Alexis Jenkins as our new school nurse! She will be taking over for Nurse Charlie, who has transitioned to a sub nurse position in our district. We will miss Nurse Charlie, but are excited to have Nurse Alexis on board as a new Blue Jay!

Students need to continue dressing in warm clothes and coats. We have outside recess twice a day, pending temperature and inclement weather.
