K-2 Author Visit
Author Bridget Heos is coming to visit our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders on Wednesday, November 6th! Want a signed copy (or two) of one of her hilarious Mustache Baby books? We've partnered with Book People to collect orders. Visit this link: https://www.bookpeople.com/schools/author-visits/fall-24/visit/rrisd/bridget-heos to select your book. Pick Brushy Creek for each copy you want to order. When checking out, in the order comments, add your student's homeroom teacher and any personalized note you want. These books will be delivered to our school and ready for your child on the day of our visit. Questions? Reach out to Hannah Marks at hannah_marks@roundrockisd.org

BCE Teacher Workroom Amazon Wish List
Parents are always asking how they can help our school. Below is a wish list for our teacher workroom. If you would like to donate any items we would greatly appreciate it.
Volunteering at BCE
There are lots of ways parents and family members can get involved at our school! Visit the PTA Volunteering page here and check out what works for you: recess monitoring, cafeteria monitoring, library volunteering, helping your child's teacher as a homeroom representative, making copies in the teacher workroom, and more! If you want to volunteer in a particular area, please make sure to sign up via our Sign-Up Geniuses. This helps the front desk know who to expect on what day. Thank you!
Register to volunteer by completing the volunteer application form. Applicants must use their legal name as it appears on their driver’s license or passport. You MUST have a Social Security Number to complete the online form.
To improve student safety, any person wishing to volunteer in Round Rock ISD is required to complete a Volunteer Application.
- Application must be renewed each school year
- Application should be completed as early as possible
- Application takes approximately five minutes to complete
- You must hit SUBMIT (not just ‘save’) for the application to be processed
- Applications take 72 hours to process
- Once completed, present your photo ID at the campus to be scanned into Raptor
- Check the status of your application by contacting the front office at your child’s campus

Lost And Found
Please help us alleviate the amount of items we have in Lost and Found by labeling your child's items such as jackets, sweatshirts, lunchboxes, and water bottles. This will help us immensely!! The Lost and Found has now been moved to the Blue Jay Cafe. Thank you for your help in this matter!
School Safety
This letter is what we send home at the beginning of the year. It reviews our safety procedures as well as our mandatory safety drill protocols. We wanted to include it in the blast so if your child comes home and says they had a drill this week, you could pull this letter up to refer to.
