Principal Memo
Good evening Falcon Families,
It is hard to believe this week only had four school days in it. While I love the excitement around Cardboard Day, it is draining. I was overjoyed to see so many family members come this afternoon to experience all of the fanciful creations our students engineered. Your support and enthusiasm is appreciated and made the event even more special for our students and staff. It truly felt like a community event.
To build the excitement for the 2025 Read-a-thon, we are holding a full spirit week next week. To kick off the week, send your student to school with a silly hat or Alice in Wonderland themed outfit. See the list above for each day's theme. Please be sure to sign your student up for the Read-a-thon, our school identifier number is 655760c422c18. If you are having a difficult time, we are happy to help. We are excited to earn our trophy back!
See you next week,
Samantha Haley
Know Your Rights
With the incoming presidential administration, the education community in Santa Clara County, including Cambrian School District, affirms its commitment to protecting students and families regardless of their citizenship status. Here are some helpful resources as we navigate this challenging issue:
- The SCCOE has compiled this resource guide to support local education agencies receiving requests for information about what families can do to prepare in case a parent or other family member is detained or deported by immigration agents.
- The State of California has an online immigration resource website.
- Immigrant Resources from the CA Attorney General’s office, available in English and Spanish
Hopefully these resources will help us as we move forward. We are committed to every student and family in the Cambrian School District.

Our committee is working hard to procure fun auction items for our online silent auction, but we could use your help! We are not doing grade level themes this year, but are instead focusing on the following:
Tickets to experiences - Monterey Bay Aquarium, Academy of Sciences, Great America etc. - can you donate passes or have connections we can ask for a donation?
Bay Area sports teams - Do you have a connection to the Sharks, Giants, 49ers, etc.? Can you help procure new swag or tickets to auction off?
Wine donations
Wine tasting donations
Getaways - do you have access to a vacation rental or cabin in the mountains, wine country, Santa Cruz, etc? Would you be willing to let us auction off a 2 or 3 night stay? Can provide a donation receipt for tax purposes
Dining gift cards - to any restaurant in the area
Any tickets or vouchers or contacts to any fun family experiences/outings in the Bay Area
Service donations - for example, if you have a photography business, could you donate a session for auction? If you own a business, can you donate a gift basket?
All donations can be dropped off in the front office with Mrs. Perry by 2/24 - just let her know they’re for the auction. If you have any questions or can email contact information or tickets, please send to Erin at treasurer1.fhsc@gmail.com
