PSAT October 3rd
PSAT for 10th & 11th Graders
9th & 12th graders will not not come to campus and can work on assignments from home.
The School-Day PSAT (Practice SAT) will be taken by 10th & 11th graders at Frank Church.
- Check in will begin at 9:00am. Students will be assigned a test room after they arrive.
- Testing will begin at 9:30 sharp!
- The test will conclude around 12:30. Lunch will be available for students after the test.
- There will be NO afternoon classes.
- Busses will run at regularly scheduled time of 3:10 pm, so students wanting to leave earlier will need to arrange their own transportation home, or take city bus.

will be in the library at lunch on October 8th and 9th.

Seniors will be applying for Idaho colleges & scholarships during their English classes! College reps will be in attendance to cheer students on and provide support. There will also be Career Exploration & Planning opportunities for students.

- When: Thursday, October 17th, 12:30 - 1:15 @ Expo Idaho
- The district will provide bussing for those signed up to attend
- Students will be released during 3rd block at 11:40 to get a sack lunch. We'll depart at 12:00 and return around 1:40.

Treasure Valley Community College Field Trip
TVCC is a 2-year college in Ontario, OR with career/technical programs, certificates, apprenticeships, and more! Students can live on campus, play sports & more. Chat w/ Ms. O if you're interested in attending.

Red Ribbon Week: Oct. 28th-Nov. 1st
Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, smoking, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign. We will be dressing up each day to pledge to be drug free! Monday- Matching Monday (find a twin and dress alike), Tuesday - Y2K Tuesday, Wednesday - Western Wednesday, Thursday - Halloween, Friday - Comfy Fit Friday
JC Penny Clothing Vouchers
Ongoing through April and you can shop anytime at JC Penny in Boise Towne Square Mall!
Tell your student to please see the social worker (Ms.Rust) if they need a voucher for clothing.
Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda
From October 8 through November 2nd we will set up an ofrenda in the hallway between Room 100 and the Community Center to commemorate the deceased loved ones of our community for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Everyone is invited to bring photos of your deceased loved ones to add to the ofrenda.

Library Field Trip
Ms. Haley and Mrs. Bothwell took the Critical Thinking classes to the downtown library. Students met the Teen Services Librarian and learned about the many free resources available to them besides just books! The park and a tour of Freak Alley were also on the activities list!
