Dear Parents and Carers

It brings us such great joy to walk into classrooms and see the quality of teaching instruction and learning that our students are engaged in. We want to ensure that every child at Our Lady of Mercy Primary School flourishes and our staff are working hard to ensure that our students are receiving the very best education.

P&F

Thank you to the P&F for running such a successful cake sale last Friday. It was wonderful to see so many new parent helpers assist on the day. We are truly appreciative of your time and hope you felt a sense of belonging to our wonderful P&F community. Thank you also to the parents who supported the cake stall, by bringing in cakes to sell and providing your children with money to purchase some sweet treats. We raised $699 and these funds will go back into various resources for the school. In past few years, the P&F has sponsored the purchase of choir shirts, interschool sport shirts, new OLOM tents for sporting events and the cost of Edudance just to name a few examples.

Dogs

A reminder to all parents that dogs should not be brought onto school grounds. We don’t know the temperament of the animal and would not like any of our students to be hurt.

Staff News

We extend our congratulations to two staff members who will be having a baby at the end of this year, our Kindy Teacher Ella Catalano and our Assistant Principal Alison Ryan. We wish them all the very best for the remainder of their pregnancies.

Year 3 Students

Please keep the Year Three students in your prayers as they continue their preparations to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation this term.

Come and make friends! All children beginning Kindy next year are invited to our playdate at school, along with parents.

Students are encouraged to pay $5 to their class teacher before the Disco.

Please mention to your friends that we are now enrolling for Kindy 2025. You can win a free new school shirt if anyone you know (that is new to the school) applies for enrolment.

If you have a younger child starting in Kindy 2025, please contact the office for an enrolment form. You must complete an application for them.
