A Week of Great Trips!
Strategic Plan Focus
#RNLeaRNs: At the New York Spring Leadership Conference in Syracuse last week, Rye Neck members of HOSA competed in highly specialized competitive events and participated in health science workshops. Dalia Mansell won a gold medal in Extemporaneous Writing. Also our Biomedical Debate Team consisting of Grayson Findlay, Spencer Elliot, Julian Russo, and Parker Masset won Silver. They are now eligible to compete at the International Conference in Nashville in June. We are so proud of them! See them in action.
.
#LeadersLeaRN: Mr. Priskie facilitated a lesson in communication for Ms. Milo's Peer Leadership class. In this activity, students engaged in a pair-based exercise to explore how different styles of communication can impact interactions and relationships. See photos here!
#RNLeaRNs: On Saturday April 5th, Model UN students participated in a conference at Horace Greeley High School: HGHSMUNC II 2025. Students engaged in small committees that discussed a wide range of topics, including current issues focused on Ensuring Gender Responsive Health Care Systems, Combating Gender Disparities in Health Care Access, the 1929 Stock Market Crash, The Pentagon Papers of 1971, and Crisis in the Senate. See pics here!
.
.
#PantherVoices: High school students collectively colored and donated over 450 spring themed coloring pages to the Osborn Retirement Community. These brightly colored designs help spread sunshine and well wishes to the seniors living in Rye.
.
#PantherImpact: William Delaney (Grade 9) took home a lesson from our Next Generation Geometry curriculum and within a couple of days was ready to teach the lesson to his peers. He was impressive and effective with his methods. Great job, Will!
.
#PantherVoices: Thank you Student Senate for a delicious end to the third quarter!!! The annual Ice Cream Social was held in the courtyard after school on Thursday! Students from all grades enjoyed this many-flavored treat! See the Senators at work scooping!
