6:00 pm –Bring something to eat and join us for some table conversations before the workshop.

WORKSHOP

7:00 pm - This is a two-hour active workshop, designed to help students, parents, and others take charge of their own personal learning through the development of a personal learning plan that will guide their learning activities and decisions.

POST-WORKSHOP ACTIVITY(optional)

9:00 - 9:30pm local time - An open discussion on how to take this workshop format and hold a discussion in your local neighborhood or within your community on education and learning.

A hands-on workshop for students, teachers, parents, librarians, administrators, and anyone else. The focus is on how to use Web 2.0 and social media for your personal, educational, and professional growth. Bootcamp 2.0 is about "hacking" - the word "hack" has a couple of cultural connotations: first, it means to find a way to do something that may not be fancy, but gets the job done; second, it can mean an attempt to subvert the existing system. There's something of both in what we do during this workshop. Bring a laptop or mobile device so you can participate!
