November 2024 Wrap-Up
Dear WLBSD Families,
As we move into December, we find ourselves in one of the busiest times of the year. The second marking period is in full swing, and the Winter athletic season is about to kick off. Students and staff are gearing up to make the final month of 2024 a great one!
Please read on for a wrap-up of November and a peek at upcoming events in December. We wish you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving, and all the best in the upcoming month.
Sincerely,
Christina Egan

A Note from Our New Director of Special Services
Mrs. Levine's first day as a Spartan will be Monday, December 2nd!
Dear West Long Branch School Community,
I am truly honored to introduce myself as the new Director of Special Services. With 23 years of experience serving students and families as an educator in New Jersey, I am excited to bring my passion for education, inclusion, and student success to this role. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to ensuring that all students, regardless of their needs, receive a high-quality education. For 19 years, I worked in the classroom as both a general education teacher and a special education teacher, providing me with a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities within diverse learning environments.
In my most recent role, I had the privilege of working closely with colleagues to review and revise curriculum while finding ways to provide access to that curriculum for all. I worked collaboratively to design initiatives that support all students, while specifically targeting the skills necessary for struggling learners. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed, and my approach has always been to create learning opportunities that meet the needs of all students through differentiated instruction and targeted interventions.
As Director of Special Services, I will continue to work closely with our counselors, child study team members, fellow administrators, teachers and, most importantly, our parents. I am committed to identifying the needs of our students, implementing effective progress monitoring systems, and maintaining open and clear communication with all stakeholders. Together, we can ensure that our students are supported, encouraged, and given the best possible chance to thrive.
I am thrilled to join this community and look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with each of you as we work to create the best possible educational experience for all our students.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Natalie Levine
