Character Monthly Focus: Reflection
- For the month of May at Coolidge Elementary, we're celebrating the character trait of reflection ! Reflection is the ability to recognize how our own behavior demonstrates qualities like honesty, respect, and kindness.
Principal Points
Dear Coolidge Families:
Can you believe we are down to our last four days of learning together. Please look at the calendar below for our week ahead.
I am deeply honored and humbled to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your support and encouragement, as I step into the role of principal. This opportunity is truly meaningful. I look forward to working together to create a nurturing and inspiring environment for our students, staff, and families.
The character trait for the month of May will be being reflective. As the end of the school year is approaching, this is a wonderful time for our students to reflect on all that went well this school year and how to carry that over into all areas of their life.
Congratulations to our very own 1st grade teacher Ms. Pinto as she received a Star Award from the LPS Foundation.
Thank you for your continued support in making Coolidge a great place to learn and grow.
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Pierson

If you didn’t receive this packet, and believe you should have, please reach out to Mrs. Rand at arand@livoniapublicschools.org. If your child has medication at school, please plan to pick it up from the office no later than Friday, June 6 by 4:00pm. Unfortunately, we are unable to store medication over the summer. Do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Rand with any questions.

Coolidge Drop off and Pick up Procedures
The Loop (Highly Recommended) – The loop can be used for drop off or pick up. Students should remain in their cars until the car has come to a complete stop in the painted half circle area. Please do not let your child out of the car, or wave your child to your car, while you are in any other part of the loop area or driveway. Do not leave the loop area until the vehicle in front of you has left. Please remain alert and ready to move forward with traffic.
The Parking lot - The parking lot can be used for drop off or pick up. Your car should be parked in a parking spot and you will need to walk your child to and from the school doors utilizing only the crosswalk. OUr staff is there to assist you and your child. Your child should NEVER be in the parking lot without you at their side. The ONLY place that parking or sitting is permitted, is in a designated parking space. Parking anywhere else could prevent our buses from coming or going. (Using the loop is easier.)
The Crosswalk - The crosswalk is for our student to walk across the parking lot safely. Cars have been parking blocking the crosswalk. Please use our parking spots. Do not block the crosswalk!

Coolidge Cougar Summer Meetups

Spiritwear Swap Bin
As the school year comes to a close, the PTA would love to collect your child's outgrown and retired Coolidge Elementary clothes! If you have purchased any grade level shirts, read shirts, Harry Potter themed shirts OR Coolidge Spirit wear and you are ready to retire it, we are ready to take it and pass it down to younger students. We have a bin set out in front of the office marked recycle. Please place any items you are all done with in the bin which is monitored daily by PTA moms. It will be set up through June 17th. For your convenience, we will accept items that are worn on the last day of school without being washed to save you a trip back to the school.
Thank you for donating anything you are done with and best of luck to our 4th graders as you move on to Riley!
