7/8 SOLO CONTEST RESULTS
Congratulations to ALL band members who performed at the PISD Solo Contest on Saturday! We had 128 students earn Superior Ratings and 14 students earn Outstanding Performance Awards!
Students will receive their results during class today.
EOY PERFORMANCE TASK INFORMATION
6th and 7th grade woodwind/brass members (everyone except for percussion) will receive their End of Year Performance Task materials today via Google Classroom. Students will have 3 weeks to work on and submit their Performance Tasks in Google Classroom.
Students can begin submitting portions of their EOY Performance Tasks as early as today and should finish uploading all videos by MONDAY, MAY 5TH in order to allow the directors enough time to score all videos by the grading deadline. Please note that the assignment in Google Classroom will close after 4 PM on May 5th in order to allow the directors enough time to listen to all assessments. Please check in with your child frequently to make sure your child is completing 1-2 tasks each week in order to complete all items by the due date. Most of the videos required should take no more than 20-30 seconds each to complete.
Included in the Performance Task information packet is important end of year information. Please go over this information with your child this week, as there is important information for parents included as well.
Performance Tasks are required end of year assessments for all woodwind and brass members, and will be due by MONDAY, MAY 5TH at 4:00 PM.
The results from the Performance Tasks will also serve as audition videos for Band Placement consideration for the 2025-2026 school year.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Access at reynoldsband.com/lessons
Private lessons are a vital part of any successful band program and are what make the Reynolds band students really great musicians! Prosper ISD bands are very fortunate to have a staff of incredibly highly qualified teachers that have been vetted by the same intensive processes as all Prosper ISD school teachers. We very highly recommend that any and all band students enroll lessons offered through the Reynolds Band. Additionally, most students who take lessons from Reynolds lesson staff are able to take lessons during band class!
**Reminder: Private lessons are required for Symphonic Winds members as well as french horn, double reed, and percussion students.
Clarinet, saxophone, low brass, and percussion: Due to the high demand of for lessons from our amazing teachers at Reynolds as well as other schools, these sections tend to fill up FAST - we highly recommend signing up sooner than later to ensure a spot in the studio!
For more information about our lesson program, please visit reynoldsband.com/lessons or click the link below to enroll your child in the 2023-2024 Reynolds Band Private Lesson program today!
