We have several families who requested car rider tags that have not picked them up. If you plan to utilize the car rider line on early release days, please make sure to stop by the office to pick up your 2024-2025 car rider tag. As a reminder, Wings for Kids does not operate on early release days. Our first early release day is Thursday, September 19th. Car rider tags may be picked up during front office hours with a picture ID (7:15am-4pm). Please contact the school at 803-476-3800 with any questions.

Per our student/parent handbook: A written note, medical excuse or electronic excuse form must be submitted for each absence.

Save time and gas by submitting your excuses online using this link - Online Excuse Form. You can upload medical excuses on this form, so no need to make a special trip to school. A link to this form is also at the bottom of each school letter and at the top of our website homepage.

If you prefer, medical excuses may also be faxed to the school at 803-476-3820.

Mrs. Holifield was selected by admin as the first Staff Member of the Week. She was selected because she has really taken the reigns of leading Escolares and in some cases other grade levels as well. She is always in GOOD spirits and checks on a lot of different people throughout the day. Congratulations Mrs. Holifield.

Staff Member of the Week! Ms. Towson is a blessing to HWES! In the few weeks since school began, she has worked hard to build relationships with her students and has revived our beloved Bucket Band! Her return to our school has already made a big impact on HWES!!
