BCS Bullying Prevention Survey

We are pleased to announce Berkeley County Schools is continuing to implement a bullying prevention program in each of our PreK-12 schools—the BCS Bullying Prevention Program. We have determined to use the program to help prevent bullying and other negative behaviors within the school environment, which will ensure that our schools will continue to provide a safe and caring environment for our students.

We will utilize a developmentally appropriate student survey in each of our primary, intermediate, middle, and high schools as part of our implementation process. This annual survey will help to obtain reliable information about bullying behavior and attitudes in the school setting. Additionally, the results of the survey will provide critical information necessary for planning our bullying prevention efforts and will also provide a way to measure our progress in addressing and reducing bullying over time.

The survey is completely voluntary, and no names are collected with the survey. We will complete administration of the survey by the third week of November 2024.

If you prefer that your child NOT participate in the survey, please inform the school in writing by Friday, November 1, 2024.
