A quick note from the principal's desk...

Good Evening RPI Families,


Last week, I sent you the following bulleted items related to your options for return to school.


  1. Learning Options
  2. RPI In-Person Instruction - I know this says secondary and we are more of an elementary. This is purely due to busing and the time we start the day.
  3. Distance Learning - Should we be moved to phase 3 and schools are shut down.
  4. Rocket Virtual


I also sent you this video and this link to the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you have not done so, please watch the video and log in to PowerSchool to update any demographic data AND make your final declaration for either Face To Face Learning or Rocket Virtual. The deadline for this is THIS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26 at midnight.


If you need any help with your PowerSchool account, please contact Mrs. Thomas by either calling the office or emailing her at thomasjo@reeths-puffer.org.


This will allow us to make any final adjustments and get your son/daughter placed into their classroom for the year. This will most likely occur next week Tuesday or Wednesday and will be followed up by an email from your teacher inviting you to a Virtual Open House/Meet the Teacher meeting. We apologize for the "last minute" feel that this presents...unfortunately there really isn't a way around it. Thanks for your grace and flexibility.

Thank you for your continued patience as we continue to prepare for our return to school. Our school office is open from 7:00-3:00 daily. Please call our office 744-9280 with any questions.

Soft Opening For Week 1 of School

We are working to finalize our plans for those 2 days for your student. Remember that students with the last name A-K will report on Tuesday and Thursday and L-Z will report on Wednesday/Friday. This will allow for us to meet with our teachers outside before entering the building, teach some new procedures, get technology in the hands of our students and many more items in a smaller setting. More information to come!

5th Grade Parents/Students

We haven't forgotten that COVID stole your chance to visit the building! Later this week we will be sending out information related to a virtual tour of the building (possibly YouTube or Facebook Live) followed by a Q/A session.

Band/Choir Update...Virtual Start

Parents,


Yesterday's version of this section caused some unintended confusion. For that, I am sorry. Please allow me to clarify here:



  1. 6th grade band and 5th/6th grade choir classes will not be held for at least the first 2 weeks of school. As we navigate this school year, we will be in communication as to how we plan to start these classes (face-to-face) during the day.
  2. At this point, 5th grade band will be offered second semester. However, we have not yet begun to plan how that might happen. More to come.
  3. If you enrolled in any of these classes, our teachers will be reaching out soon to give you updates and specifics related to those classes.



I'm hoping that this clarified any miscommunication / misunderstandings from me from yesterday. If you have any specific questions, feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to help!
