GT PAC Parent Symposium
The GT PAC hosted the annual GT Parent Symposium at the end of February. This virtual event included an opening session facilitated by Dr. Westphal (Director of GT) discussing the “State of GT in FBISD”, 10 parent-led sessions, and the keynote address “There are 2E’s in CrEativE: Attention Divergent Hyperactive Giftedness” from Dr. C. Matthew Fugate (Assistant Professor, University of Houston Downtown). Dr. Fugate's address focused on increasing understanding of the importance of creativity in education for both the individual and society as a whole. If you were not able to attend this event, recordings of the various sessions are available on the GT Symposium webpage (https://www.fortbendisd.com/Page/133019) for all GT parents.
