Weekly Newsletter

Hello Morris Families & Guardians,
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the Walk, Bike, and Roll to School event! It was such a wonderful morning, and I loved seeing the students connect with each other as they walked together. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, making it a perfect way to start the day.
Exciting News:
We are thrilled to announce that our annual Book Fair will be held during Parent Conferences this year! This is a wonderful opportunity for families to stock up on fantastic books while supporting our school. Information on how you can help support the book fair is below.
Relocation Drill Practice – Thursday, October 17th
Safety is always a top priority at Morris Elementary. As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all, we will be practicing a lock down and relocation drill on Thursday. These drills are an important way for students and staff to be prepared in case of emergencies. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately we will be outside for at least 20 to 30 minutes.
Reminder About Pokémon Cards
We’ve noticed an increasing number of students bringing Pokémon cards to school. While we understand their popularity, trading these cards can sometimes lead to upset feelings, especially as young children may change their minds about trades. To promote a positive experience for all students, we kindly ask that Pokémon cards be left at home. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Free Breakfast and Lunch Program
A reminder to all families: Morris Elementary is proud to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students every day! This program is available to ensure that every student has access to nutritious meals to fuel their learning. No need to sign up—just come to school and enjoy!
Parent-Teacher Conferences
At the end of the month, we will be hosting Parent-Teacher Conferences, an excellent opportunity to discuss your child’s academic progress and growth so far this year. These conferences are a valuable time to strengthen the home-school partnership, and we encourage all families to attend.

Attendance Reminder
If your child is going to be absent due to illness or any other reason, please make sure to notify the school office at 413-637-5570 . It's important for us to maintain accurate attendance records and ensure your child’s safety.
