Dear Twin Oaks Families,

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the start of a beautiful weekend! What a wonderful week it has been! We were thrilled to see a fantastic turnout at our recent "Family Service Night." A heartfelt thank you to all of you who were able to join us. Your presence made the evening truly special. Our students continue to shine as they demonstrate acts of kindness and empathy throughout Twin Oaks. It's heartwarming to witness their positive impact on our school community.

"Family Friday" was the cherry on top of a great week, providing us with an opportunity to come together and celebrate our Twin Oaks family. We're already looking forward to our next "Family Friday" event in October, and we hope to see even more families join us for the fun.

As we head into the weekend, we want to wish you all a wonderful Friday evening filled with laughter and relaxation. May your weekend be filled with joy, adventures, and moments to cherish.

The pick-up line for K-5th grade students starts at the sign before the K gate. ONLY cars who are picking up TK students can bypass the line to pick-up their TK student. If a car bypasses the car line and DOES NOT pick up a TK student. They will be asked to go around and get in the car line.

We had an awesome visit from our Mission Hills Football Team and Cheerleaders. They made our arrival to school today memorable. A big thank you to these great high school students.

We have hired an art instructor and she is currently being processed through our HR department. We are all excited to get started. Thank you for your patience with this situation!

Please consider giving pencils, erasers or other school related items instead of sugary treats. There are strict guidelines for school to not offer sugary snacks to students. You may also consider donating books for the classroom library.

The Affordable Connectivity Program helps to connect families and households struggling to afford internet service. This new benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.

Did you know? Five elementary schools in SMUSD have expanded school bus service thanks to new State funding.

Joli Ann Leichtag Elementary, La Mirada Academy, Paloma Elementary School, San Marcos Elementary & Twin Oaks Elementary students all have the opportunity to ride the bus to school!
