Note From Principal Pautler
Greetings Bulldogs ~
I don't even know what happened to this past week. It went so fast - one blink and it was over. With fewer athletic activities, time seems to move in weird ways!! Speaking of athletic activities, you may have heard a little something about a playoff football game being held here on Friday, November 22nd. We're looking to absolutely PACK the house. We'll have information coming out next week regarding tickets and such but I want you to consider putting this one on your calendar for sure. When you're this deep in the playoffs - every game is a tough matchup. We'll need the home crowd advantage for sure!!
Don't forget that we're on break the week of November 25th. It's a much needed rest before we have the VERY SHORT push to final exams. Let's talk about exams for a second. Many of our freshmen will not have experienced the joy of final exams. Remember, all classes are to give a final assessment that is worth 20% of the final grade. These tests can really impact a grade and need to be taken seriously for sure. I ask that you take some time over the next few weeks and speak with your student about the final exam process. Do they know yet what the final exams for each class will look like? (final project vs. cumulative assessment) They should be getting this information VERY soon. Final exams are the last two days of the semester - December 18th & 19th. (Schedule link below) We do not give final exams early for those students who are already out of town during those days. Your student will need to take their exam when they return the first week in January. See information on that below.
We have the Fall Ball tomorrow night! This is always an exciting one and it's great to see the students dress up and having a great time. As you know, all school rules apply to dances and we have a plethora of adults on hand to make sure that our dance is safe for everyone. If your student will be attending - I encourage you to have a pretty direct conversation with them about your expectations for them on the evening. You'll know you've connected with them when the eyes roll! We'll post a few pictures on Facebook as we expect the place will be PACKED!!
Have a great weekend everyone. We'll see you back here next week at the Most AMAZING High School in the State of Oklahoma - EMHS!!!

Memorial Football - Playoff Schedule
Memorial HS Football has made the state tournament! Securing a bye in the first round - the Bulldogs will host their first game @ home - Friday, November 22nd. See you at 7:00 this next Friday!! NOTE: More information to come. However, since this is an OSSAA hosted event - your typical Edmond Athletic Passes will not work for this event. We will send a ticket purchasing link out next week.
Congratulations to our Yearbook Staff!!
Our yearbook staff recently attended their version of State. Out of 36 awarded categories, our staff brought home 29 awards. We received highest honors, All Oklahoman, and placed second in the state for our 23-24 yearbook. Danica Triplett received writer of the year and Tristan Brann received designer of the year.
Parking Pass Change
We have made a change in our parking pass process. For all your parking needs - please have your student visit the finance office.
Weather Make-up Day
As we will need to make the day up for our missed school on Monday - the district will be adding in-person learning to the calendar for Friday, April 18th.

Band Program Trailer Replacement
The Edmond's Own Bulldog Band is in desperate need of a new band trailer. The current trailer the program uses has way exceeded its life expectancy and the cost of repair no longer makes financial sense. Please consider a financial gift to our band program to help out our students! We are REALLY close to making this happen!!
Edmond Winter Guard
Did you know that Edmond Memorial High School is the only school in town that runs a competitive winter guard program? We will now expand our program to serve students from all Edmond high schools and will compete as the "Edmond Winter Guard"...
Freshman Pom Food Pantry Drive!!
Freshman Pom will be hosting a food drive for our very own Edmond Memorial Food pantry for the next week! Please grab an item and drop it at one of the boxes around the school or take it to the doghouse after school. You can also give donations to freshman squad members.
Canned meat, Hamburger Helper, muffin mixes or noodle mixes that require only water – items like that would be so helpful!! Please join us in stocking out Bulldog food pantry!!
Key Club Giving Tree
The EMHS Key Club runs an annual Giving Tree which is a yearly present drive. Families may enroll their students in this if they feel like a little assistance is needed this holiday season. Should you want to take advantage of this opportunity - please complete the form as soon as possible. You DO NOT have to complete all of the wish list fields. If you do not want/need one of the categories, you can leave it blank. If you have any questions or need help, contact Mrs. Hendricks in room 422 (upstairs in the Freshman Academy). Thank you!
Missing Final Exam Days?
If your student will not be present during one or both of the final exam days - they can start their exams during the make-up time which is January 6th @ 12:30 in the main building library.
