Dear GATES Community,

WOW! November flew by, and we’ve already wrapped up our first learning cycle. With the holiday season in full swing, we’re off to a fantastic start!

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make our Grateful Gathering such a success. It was a joy to come together, share delicious food, and enjoy each other’s company. Moments like these remind us of the incredible community we have here.

December promises even more excitement as our students take part in Winter Wishes. Thanks to the generosity of our longtime sponsor, Resurrection Church in Tacoma, students will receive personalized gifts to brighten their holiday season. We are deeply grateful for their continued partnership and support.

Senior Updates

We’re so proud of our Gators, especially our seniors who are gearing up for graduation in June! Jostens recently met with them to distribute senior packets for ordering caps and gowns. Don’t forget—orders placed before December 10th will be entered into a drawing for a free tassel or senior T-shirt. Let’s keep the excitement going!

While our students are setting records for passing rates, attendance remains key to their success. Please help your child stay on track by ensuring they get enough sleep and arrive on time each day. Regular attendance not only boosts academics but also supports physical and emotional well-being.

Winter Is Here!

The colder, darker days of winter are upon us, and we’re reminded of the importance of caring for our community. If your family could use blankets, coats, gloves, hygiene items, or food, please reach out to Ms. Levendoski—helping families is her superpower!

On that note, we’re thrilled to share that Ms. Levendoski will soon welcome a new addition to her family. While she’s on maternity leave, Mr. Xavier Banner will join our team, starting December 19th, to continue her incredible work supporting our students and families.
