This kindergartener is such a smart, loving & sweet student! She works hard in everything she does whether it be school, cheer or dance. She always tries her hardest & never gives up. She is always eager to get her homework done or read a book if she has any kind of free time. She is a great friend who always helps cheer people up when they are sad. She has a beautiful heart and an amazing student. We love having her in our ACE program! These qualities are the reason Layla Sandefer is our ACE student of the month.

This second-grade student is a very polite and well-mannered young man. He doesn’t give up on tasks that he is working on. He participates in every class he is in. He does what he is asked to do and never complains. He participates in our Karate program and is a great listener! ACE teachers love his can-do attitude. For this reason, Chase Shouse has been chosen as the student of the month.

What do our employee of the month and the postman have in common? Both deliver in any circumstance. RAIN, SLEET, OR SNOW ….NOTHING STOPS HER FROM HER CAR DUTY. Every afternoon she is out on the curb greeting parents and calling kids to come to their car. She is very fast at calling kids and walks them to the appropriate car. She also has a class that she works with students creating ABC headbands. Our ACE students love her enthusiasm and gentle spirit. Thank you, Angela Miskell, for all you do for our ACE program.

A.E. Butler Intermediate School
A.E. Butler Intermediate School Student's of The Month
Our students of the month are two individuals who shine bright and bring so much to our after school program. They are siblings, and they are Layla Jones who is in third grade and Kaden Jones who is in fourth grade. Layla and Kaden may seem quiet and reserve, but they truly shine through their actions. They both are kind, always carrying a smile on their face, and are always willing to help others. For instance, one afternoon during dinner time Layla and a friend were working on homework and her friend was struggling to figure out a math problem. I went over to try and help, but Layla explained to her friend a couple ways to find the answer and sure enough her friend understood how to go about finding the answer. Kaden is also an outstanding student, very respectful young man. He has been a part of Running off the road, anytime he is with Mr. McGill you will hear and see him being polite by waiting his turn or asking how can help. These two are truly one of kind and really are a model of this program. Thank you for being in our program, Layla and Karen. Congratulations on being our students of the month!

Mrs. Culberson is a unique, talented, and dedicated ACE team player. She takes excellent care of our students every single morning and stays for more fun in the afternoon to make sure that our ACE students are offered fantastic art experiences. The kids learn to draw, paint, create and so much more. The projects that come out of that classroom are amazing. Additionally, the students carry their fantastic skills into the classroom; impressing their teachers and enhancing their class projects!

Good ole fashioned board games. That's right. Stuents have the opportunity to have tons of fun playing games and socializing together. Jenga, and headbandz are among the favorites.

Our student of the month is such a hard worker! Katelyn Higbee is usually working in one of our Academic rooms but has occasionally been found to take a break in Cooking. She is very respectful to students and teachers. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is cleaned and picked up and would help staff or students with anything they need. I am so proud of Katelyn for being who she is!
