Wrightsboro e-News
May 23, 2021
The last day of school is Thursday, May 27th. This is an early release day. Students will dismiss at 12:00.
Cool Cat Parents,
I would like to thank each and every one of you who have partnered with us during this most unusual school year. Remote learning has certainly had its challenges but fortunately we also found some silver linings. As you know our teachers always work hard but found themselves working harder than ever this year to make learning fun and engaging through various learning platforms. I know for myself, I have learned much more in terms of navigating technology than I ever dreamed as I am sure you have as well. However, I am proud to say nothing can take the place of a warm, kind and nurturing teacher.
I hope that everyone has a somewhat back to normal summer! Encourage your children to read every day and stay brushed up on all your math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

delores.overby@nhcs.netLibrary Update!
All library books should be turned in by now and all fines paid. Your child has been given a note with all overdue books if they still have books checked out. Please help them locate the books and get them back to our library so that others can enjoy them.
Our library will be open during Summer Ignite for present grades K-4 following the same schedule:
- Monday, June 14 - Thursday, June 17 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. (No class Friday)
- Monday, June 21 - Thursday, June 24 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. (No class Friday)
- Monday, June 28 - Thursday, July 1 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. (No class Friday)
- Monday, July 12 - Thursday, July 15 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. (No class Friday)
- Monday, July 19 - Thursday, July 22 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. (No class Friday)
- Monday, July 26 - Thursday, July 29 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. (No class Friday)
If your child is not attending Summer Ignite they may still check out books. They may use our online catalog, Destiny Discover, and put books on hold or come to the library and shop for books. The times for shopping in the library will be shared as the schedule is created. Be sure to email stephanie.tew@nhcs.net to let her know when you will be by to pick up the books that you place on hold.
Each K-4 student may check out 2 books and keep them for 7 days.
Thank you to all of our readers who have made this year so fun and exciting for me!

Stephanie.tew@nhcs.netUpdate from MTSS
Dear Parents/Guardians,
If your student is in the MTSS process for Reading, Math, or Behavior, they will be bringing home a letter and a copy of their MTSS paperwork for the 2020-2021 school year on Monday afternoon. The letter will inform you of the current interventions being used and the data tool used for monitoring their progress. If your student is participating in Remote Learning, his/her letter will be coming in the mail with his/her report card. Please reach out to your students' classroom teacher, Samantha Keller, or Virginia Wheeler with any concerns or questions.
