Spring Testing Begins Soon!
Testing Begins Next Week for Students with an IEP or 504 Plan: 8th grade students begin on April 12. 7th grade students begin on April 14. 6th grade students begin the following week on April 19.
6-8 Required Ohio State Tests:
6th Grade: ELA and Math
7th Grade: ELA and Math
8th Grade: ELA, Math, and Science
*If your child has an IEP or 504 Plan, all testing accommodations will be provided.
Please read below for important testing information for your child.
Testing Locations
Students will follow the testing schedule below. Arrangements were made for students with testing accommodations to follow the schedule below. Testing over multiple days is intended to offer an optimal testing experience and effectively provide testing accommodations per the student IEP or 504 plan.
Testing Schedule
To ensure student engagement and concentration, tests are split into two parts and administered over two days. Students in 6th and 7th grade will report to the building four (4) days total in the morning. 8th grade students will report to the building five (5) days total in the morning. Testing hours are listed below by building.
April 19, 2021: 6th grade ELA Part 1

Claggett Students
Testing Times and Instructions for Claggett Students
Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Parents drop-off and pick-up students at the Cafeteria entrance (NE) located on the east side of the building. Students will enter the cafeteria and will be greeted by an adult and provided further directions from there.
7th and 8th Grade (AM Testing):
Drop-Off: Arrive no later than 7:45AM
Pick-Up: Ride should pick-up students no later than 10:20AM
8th Grade (AM Testing for Science Test Only):
Drop-Off: Arrive no later than 7:45AM
Pick-Up: Ride should pick-up students no later than 10:45AM (note later pick-up time).
6th Grade (AM Testing):
Drop-Off: Arrive no later than 8:30AM
Pick-Up: Ride should pick-up students no later than 11:10AM
*Please note that if a student has extended time as a testing accommodation, the pick up times will be adjusted as necessary. Students will have an opportunity to contact parents if they will be testing longer than the times listed above.
Root Students
Testing Times and Instructions for Root Students
Drop-Off and Pick-Up: All student will enter front doors and report to media center on testing days.
6th Grade (AM Testing):
Drop-Off: Report to the main entrance to be buzzed in between 8:15AM-8:25AM students must be in the media center before 8:30.
Pick-Up: Students should have rides arranged to pick them up at 10:50AM.
7th Grade (AM Testing):
Drop-Off: Students should enter the building with all other students at the start of the day around 7:30AM and report to the media center.
Pick-Up: Students should have a ride ready to pick them up at 10:00AM.
8th Grade (AM Testing):
Drop-Off: Students should enter the building with all other students at the start of the day around 7:30AM and report to the media center.
Pick-Up: Students should have a ride ready to pick them up at 10:00AM.
8th Grade (AM Testing for Science Test Only):
Drop-Off: Students should enter the building with all other students at the start of the day around 7:30AM and report to the media center.
Pick-Up: Students should have a ride ready to pick them up at 10:00AM. Students will take both sections of the test in the morning. If the students finish before 10:00AM they will be permitted to leave if they have a ride available.

What should students bring on testing days?
*Remember to eat a healthy breakfast and get a good night’s sleep!
