Patriot's Pointe
Greetings Patriot Families and Happy New Year!
We are excited to welcome everyone back tomorrow, January 6, 2025! It is our hope that you have enjoyed some much needed time off with friends and family over the holiday break! Fall Semester grades will be finalized and posted on Monday, January 13, 2025 so please check Infinite Campus next week to stay informed of your student's academic performance. We expect all students to arrive on time to school tomorrow no later than 8:25am.
Parents, we need your help to ensure our students arrive to school appropriately dressed. We will be contacting you in the event that students show up to school out of compliance with the guidelines outlined below.
Appropriate School Attire:
Parents, we need your help! Many of our students are coming to school out of compliance with our FCBOE dress code. Please check your individual student, in the morning before they leave the house, for the following items:
No blankets, pajama pants, bedroom shoes/slippers, or robes
Pants must not have any holes above the knee
Hoodies, hats, scarfs, bonnets can not be worn on students' heads when inside of the building
Students should not tie their shirts in a knot at the front, back, or side of the shirt.
Any shirt that exposes skin at the waist (including shirts that are tied in a knot at the back)
Skirts and shorts must have a hemline that meets the finger tips in length
We are excited to showcase our Skills USA students and their sponsor Mr. Jeff Dykes who raised over $1700 for the 15th Annual Project Angel Tree, which is a record for our chapter. Additionally, we had several top performers in the Skills USA Region competition. Congratulations to Emily Dykes, Ginny Phan, and Noelle Boyd for earning 1st and 2nd Place in their individual categories and for advancing on to SLSC!
Congratulations are also in order to Sam Brown and Blake Davis for being nominated and selected to participate in this year's GMEA! We are so proud of all they have accomplished and will be supporting them on January 31st.
Our Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball teams continue to dominate in region play with the latest wins on Saturday night against Troup County. The Lady Patriots won 70-41 and the Varsity boys won 83-68! You can see our teams back at home this week on Friday night against Spalding High School.
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a Competitive Advantage!
#PatriotPride

CTAE Spotlight
It was a RECORD-BREAKING YEAR for our 15th Annual SkillsUSA Project Angel Tree!!!
• Student members collected donations to raise over $1718 - THE MOST EVER BY MORE THAN $500!
• The chapter coordinated with the Guidance Counselors at Sandy Creek and Burch to anonymously identify 7 students from 5 families needing assistance.
• Students then worked in teams to calculate and budget to shop for Christmas presents from the list of needs and wants for each student.
• Students conducted a Wrapping Party to wrap and prepare the gifts while closing out the semester in Christmas cheer.
• Students delivered the gifts to the Guidance Office at each school for distribution.
When we started this project 15 years ago we raised $180 to sponsor 1 student.
THIS IS WHAT CAREER & TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION (CTE) STUDENTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN & PRACTICE THROUGH THEIR PARTICIPATION IN CAREER & TECHNOLOGY STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS (CTSO) LIKE SkillsUSA! #leadership #communityservice #giving #christmas #sandycreekghighschool #BurchElementary #SkillsUSA #skillsusageorgia

We have a rich tradition in athletics here at Sandy Creek with more than 10 State Championships in sports such as football, basketball, track, and volleyball.
Our scoreboard was built in 1991 and we are in need of a new board to match our dynamic and talented athletic teams. The vision at Sandy Creek High School is to provide students a competitive advantage in whatever endeavor they choose after high school. With your assistance we can help the students prepare for those endeavors while branding your business and supporting our community. Please view the information attached about the sponsorship and digital scoreboard.

Free College Essay Help with Notable Narratives!
About Notable Narratives:
NN is a 501 (c)(3) college essay service organization that provides completely free college essay editing services to first generation and/or low income (FGLI) high school seniors applying to college. We do this by pairing college applicants with FGLI college students, as having an advisor that comes from a similar background will allow students to feel more comfortable receiving help
Since our founding in August 2020:
Our 90 FGLI college advisors have assisted over 1,750 students from 102 unique countries and all 50 states.
1 in 4 students who filled out our annual survey were accepted into an Ivy League or Stanford University.
94% of our students were BIPOC, and 50% identified as both first-generation and low-income.
We encourage you to read more about our impact through our Impact Report, website, and Instagram. We are excited to help even more students this year!
Next Steps:
Attached is a Registration Form for you to share with your students. NN’s services are available to those who self-identify as low income and/or first generation; students do not need to identify as both to apply. I will also be sending this resource to the SCHS counselors.

Parent Square
The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
