As the summer winds down, it’s time to take flight and embrace new challenges with boldness and bravery. Whether you are navigating change, uplifting your team, or providing compassionate care, remember it takes “Courage to Soar” and reach new heights. Let’s soar together this upcoming quarter, showing that with heart and determination, there is no limit to what we can achieve!

Needs Assessment

Can you believe we are already coming to the end of quarter 1? I want to ask each chapter to complete a brief survey. These questions can help identify any needs for your chapter and future Region 3 events to provide resources for chapters. More than one person can complete the survey in each chapter! Please follow the link for the survey HERE.


I will be traveling to AACN headquarters for our annual CAT meeting in October. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, praises, or needs, this is an excellent opportunity to let me know so I can address them.

If you have not already done so, please update your Nursing Network Chapter page with your new board members. If you find that members are now “locked out,” please contact chapters@aacn.org for assistance. I have attached two documents to this email to help update the Nursing Network for Board Members.

For those of you who may be wondering, AACN has decided to continue using the existing FB pages and have updated them to reflect the new region structure. With this model, we are encouraging you to follow your both your old and new regions.

Upcoming Due Dates

  • Checker Signer Form for 2024 was due 8/15/24
  • Q1 Financial Report is due 11/15/24
  • Circle of Excellence Applications are due 11/1/24

Did you know that AACN moved most of the Chapter Portal resources to the Nursing Network? Consider checking them out for tips on Chapter Event Planning, Leadership Succession Planning, Treasurer Resources, and much more! To find the Chapter Portal, head over to your Moderator Control Panel on Nursing Network, and the Chapter Portal is one of the tabs on the top row:
