A Note from the Principal...
Hello everyone,
As we approach the end of the semester next Friday, it’s a great time to reflect on the incredible growth and achievements of our students over the past few months. We are so proud of their hard work and determination, and we’re equally grateful for the dedication and passion our teachers bring to the classroom every day. Please join me in giving a huge shout-out to our amazing educators who have worked tirelessly to support and inspire our students each and every day!
Important End-of-Semester Reminders
Lost and Found
The Lost and Found is overflowing with jackets, water bottles, lunchboxes, and other items that are eager to find their way back home. Please encourage your child to check the Lost and Found before next Friday. Any unclaimed items will be donated during winter break.
Upcoming Events
The final weeks of the semester are filled with exciting performances and athletic events. Be sure to check the school website (linked below) for dates and details so you don’t miss out on seeing our talented students shine in performing arts or on the court. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate their hard work!
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Let’s finish this semester strong!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Janie M. Ulmer

Winter Gram Sales
The Student Council is selling Winter Grams during all lunches through Wednesday, December 18th. Students can purchase a Gram to send to a friend. Grams include a note to a friend and a candy cane, delivered to their class. Deliveries will be made on December 13th and December 19th. Students can purchase a Winter Gram for $1 or Six for $5.
Proceeds are used for school improvements or donations to community programs. For example, last year we combined efforts with PTO and purchased eight new high quality metal picnic tables for an outdoor classroom or preferred lunch seating. Two years ago, we donated to a local program called Medical Mutts, who train special Rescue Society dogs to be therapy dogs. Thank you for supporting this annual event.
Light Recycling
HSE Schools have collected broken/unwanted holiday lights for the past several years, and it has been very successful. This event has prevented over 7.5 tons of e-waste from entering landfills. Starting on November 25 and going until January 15, I am asking that each school collect unwanted/unusable holiday lights in a central location in your building (front office, media center, science classroom, environment/eco club). As your school’s collection bins fill, we will transport the material to a central location.
