The Panther Prowl
Week of Dec. 16th - 20th
From Mrs. Taylor
Dear Mt. Nebo Families,
As we approach the end of the semester and the upcoming holidays, I want to express my gratitude for your support during my first year as principal of Mt. Nebo Middle School! It has been a year of learning, growth, and appreciation for our partnership we share with you.
Together, we've navigated challenges and celebrated successes, all while keeping our students' well-being and education at the forefront. I've been impressed with the willingness of our faculty and staff to try new things and take on additional responsibilities, all to benefit our students.
As we look forward to the holiday season, I wish you and your families a healthy, happy, safe and restful break.
Happy Holidays!

Mr. Ledesma said: Agnes is an awesome student! If I had to pick a word to describe Agnes, I would say curious. I have noticed she is willing to try new things. She does so many different things at school. She is part of our journalism team at school. She also does cycling and I'm sure many other things. Agnes is a great example to her peers!
Mrs. Van Nosdol told me: Agnes is a wonderful student who brings so much joy to the classroom. Her kindness shines through in every interaction, as she is always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement to her peers. She approaches her work with determination and a strong work ethic, never giving up even when faced with challenges. Agnes also has a fantastic sense of humor that keeps everyone smiling, and her silly, playful nature makes her a delight to be around. She truly brightens the day of everyone she meets, and her positive energy is contagious!
Mr. Bird said: Agnes is a wonderful person who almost always has a smile on her face. She is great at problem-solving and dealing with hard things. Agnes is helping our school be a wonderful place, I am glad she is a student at Mt. Nebo Middle.
Mrs. Luckau said: Agnes is a joy to have in class. She is a kind person with a pleasant attitude. She is always willing to jump in and give something a try.
And, Mrs. Semadeni said: Agnes is an amazing young lady! She is a hard worker, who is refined in her work. She asks great questions and is actively engaged in all that she participates in. She is teachable and humble. She is confident and inspires all those around her. She is a great listener and a wonderful leader. She has the gift to bring out the best in everyone around her. It is a pleasure and an honor to work with her!
Congratulations, Agnes! Everyone agrees that you deserve this award for the amount of effort you give each day. Thank you for doing all you can to make our school and the world around you a better place to be!

Parents,
We are presenting information on UVU Prep in our 6th grade Math classes today and wanted to pass information along to you about this amazing program. UVU Prep is an early STEM and Engineering summer program offered through Utah Valley University. The program is a great opportunity for students who excel in math and science to get hands-on experience in the field while earning early high school credit. The application deadline is January 31st. If your student is interested, be sure to watch the video we presented in class. Also, please see the attached flyer. Every year, a handful of Mt. Nebo students attend UVU Prep, and we would love to see more of our students benefit from this amazing opportunity!
We know that transportation from our end of the valley is always a concern. UVU offers UTA vouchers for students to ride the bus to and from campus, and many Mt. Nebo families get together to carpool. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to the program coordinator at UVU, Marianne Parker: mparker@uvu.edu 801-863-6356

Padres,
