Recess and Cooler Weather
Dressing for cooler weather requires careful consideration of the temperature, weather conditions, and your own comfort preferences. Whether it's autumn, winter, or a chilly day in spring, we aim to get the students outside for recess everyday. Please help make sure your student is properly dressed for the cooler weather.
Character Counts Pledge
As we continue to build a positive and nurturing environment for your children, we are excited to introduce a new initiative aimed at fostering strong character development in our elementary students: The Character Pledge.
The Character Pledge encourages students to embrace values like kindness, respect, responsibility, and integrity. By reciting this pledge daily, we hope to instill these important qualities, helping students grow both academically and personally.
We encourage you to talk to your child about the pledge and what each part means. Together, we can support them in becoming respectful and responsible individuals, both in school and in the community.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. Should you have any questions or suggestions regarding this initiative, feel free to reach out.
Attendance Matters
Yes, school attendance matters for several reasons.
Education: Attending school regularly is essential for acquiring knowledge and skills. It provides students with access to a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a conducive learning environment.
Academic Success: Consistent attendance is strongly correlated with academic success. Students who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve better grades, perform well on standardized tests, and graduate on time.
Social Development: School is not just about academics; it's also a place where students interact with peers, develop social skills, and learn important life lessons. Regular attendance helps students build friendships and develop emotional intelligence.
It's important for parents, guardians, educators, and policymakers to recognize the significance of school attendance and work together to ensure that all children have access to quality education and the support they need to attend school regularly.
