News From the Principal

The morning and afternoons in our childcare look quite different. If your child no longer needs a longer naptime, then afternoon childcare is not for your child. You should request a p.m. preschool classroom along with your childcare needs. The morning childcare rooms take a short rest period before children go to their afternoon preschool class. Children who no longer nap or who take naps for less than 1 hour struggle during that afternoon naptime.

If your child sleeps more than 1 hour per day napping, then you will want to request a morning preschool class along with your childcare request.

You are able to edit your Final Forms if you need to change your a.m../p.m. preschool request. You can also reach out to Sherri and me for help.

Final Forms registration is active. Please make sure to upload all of your documents, complete the forms, and pay fees you may owe if you have not done so already. Students will not be placed in a classroom until Final Forms and fees are submitted.

In February, we are focusing on Stronger Together. Each classroom will discuss how we can make each other better, and teachers take those teachable moments to reinforce how our actions towards each other help us become better at what we do.

Join us for KECC’s Second Annual Glow Walk Fundraiser benefiting the preschoolers,

staff, and PTO! The preschoolers will be participating in the Glow Walk with glow sticks,

music, obstacle courses, and more! Preschoolers are encouraged to wear Kings spirit wear* and parents are welcome to attend!

Each student is encouraged to raise $10.

The KECC PTO will be holding an in person public PTO meeting on Wednesday, February 12th at 6pm! We will be discussing the second annual Glow Walk and future PTO events at KECC!
