Curriculum & Instruction
In Technology class, students learn and utilize software to create designs that will be printed via a 3-D printer.
Mrs. Devita assists students with tips to help them excel with their presentations.
Hands on learning about idioms in Mrs. Shucker's 5th grade class.
Students prepare for an upcoming presentation relating to a high impact learning project they performed in STEM class called the "Tower of Silence".
Students in Art work on yarn paintings inspired by the Mexican culture.
Rockland Green visited to share how local Rockland schools are brainstorming to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Students in grade 5 explored how pollution and trash impact the biosphere.
In Science, students obtain and combine information about ways to protect Earth's water resources.
Students work independently and collaboratively to solve relevant and real world math problems we are faced with everyday.
CARE Club members raise awareness about the benefits of recycling and conserving energy. Students prepare seeds for the upcoming growing season by using renewable resources.
Teachers brought in books to read for the Rockland Read In. All students participated in this event before mid-winter recess.
Students in ELA present projects on solving world issues. Students identified issues, developed solutions, and assessed external factors impacting their solutions.
Officer Culianos, the School Resource Officer and Barr Administrators teach a collaborative class where students in 5th and 6th grade discuss the importance of internet and social media safety.

The more you read, the more you can win when participating in the 2024 New York Boulders Reading Challenge! Get your reading logs from your homeroom teacher by Friday, March 1 and return them to your homeroom teacher on Monday, March 25. The contest will begin on March 4th and run through March 24th.
