A Word From Mrs. Loor
Dear Franklin Families,
I hope you enjoyed learning, creating, singing and playing alongside your children this week. Our special area teachers worked hard to prepare an engaging class for our first Specialist Showcase. The goal is that as your children move up through Franklin, you will get to experience all the various special area classes.
In our annual Teachers vs Students Floor Hockey game, students in 5A played their best, but ultimately, the teachers reclaimed their title as victors! Thanks to Mrs. Burr for organizing this exciting 5th grade event year after year and a big thank you to all the staff members who played! I know they were feeling sore the next day!
Our first ever Math Olympiads Club had their final session and celebration on Tuesday. A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Baykir for running this enrichment option for our enthusiastic and high flying math students. We also had several parent volunteers each week to assist and support the large number of students who signed up. We are so grateful for your help! Our top 3 performers were Edward Hong, Alice Mi and Aaron Kratkov!! Congratulations!
We had a fun and interactive assembly about respect! Students sang and learned sign language and motions to go along with songs that reminded us how to be respectful, how to be a good friend, and to take care of this place. Thank you to the PTO for bringing us this great assembly.
Report cards will be available on the Genesis Parent Portal at 3:00 PM on Friday. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions.
Have a wonderful week!
With Warmest Regards,
Mrs. Loor

In addition, we kindly ask that while you are in the building for other purposes that you do not enter department staff offices or classrooms unannounced. Appointments are made for such visits and/or conferences. These procedures are in place to ensure a secure, organized environment for everyone as well as maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of all our students. We appreciate your cooperation.
