SBHS VISITS THE NEW JERSEY VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL
Just in time for Veterans Day, students enrolled in SBHS's Vietnam Era class, as well as the Military History class, visited the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Holmdel. This annual trip allows students to listen to the lived experiences of service members who fought during the Cold War Era and better understand their sacrifices. Teachers Nicholas Gazzale and Christopher Hines have worked to ensure the trip is offered each year to maintain the school's relationship with the memorial. Over the years, both classes have raised money for the site by purchasing pavers engraved with the name of the high school. “Military History” and “The Vietnam Era” are two of the Social Studies electives offered to juniors and seniors.
