RULH Jr./Sr. High School FFA Attends State Convention in Columbus RULH Jr./Sr. High School FFA Attends State Convention in Columbus

The RULH Jr./Sr. High School FFA chapter, under the direction of Mr. Daniel Foster and Mr. Justin Cluxton, had an amazing trip to the Ohio FFA State Convention in Columbus! The FFA membership made RULH Local Schools very proud with all they accomplished.

Austin Manning was honored with getting announced as the 2025-2026 Ohio FFA State Reporter. Austin will spend the next year traveling the State of Ohio working with members and representing them at the National Level. Autumn Graves had a big week as well —she earned a gold-rated Secretary’s Book and was chosen to perform in the State FFA Band, showing off both her leadership and talent.

Brooklyn Manning and Leslie Abbott reached a major milestone by earning their State FFA Degrees, one of the highest honors an FFA member can achieve! Less than 2% of all FFA members reach this milestone. The RULH FFA chapter was also recognized for charitable giving, which reflects how much the chapter membership cares about giving back to the local community. The students celebrated all their hard work with a fun trip to Topgolf where they made great memories and grew even closer as a team! Blue Jay Pride!

RULH 4th graders recently took a field trip to the Shawnee State Nature Center. It was an exciting outdoor adventure filled with learning and exploration. Students began the day with a scenic hike through the woods, where they searched for millipedes and other small creatures on the forest floor.

At the nature center, they had the thrilling opportunity to hold a harmless garter snake and observe a majestic king black snake and a rattlesnake up close. The trip also included peaceful bird watching, as students used binoculars to spot and identify different species in their natural habitat. It was a fun and memorable day full of hands-on learning about Ohio’s wildlife!
